The Minnesota Democratic Party (also known as the DFL, or the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party) passed the following CEASEFIRE resolution at their State Convention on June 2nd, 2024:
The DFL supports the immediate release of hostages, and prisoners held without trial, immediate humanitarian aid, and an immediate cease-fire through continued peace efforts in Gaza.
*The resolution passed with 62.75% of the vote. It also passed within and was adopted by 30 Organizing Unites and 8 Congressional Districts.

The following Palestine-related resolutions were submitted to the DFL State Convention, but failed to meet with 60% threshold to make it into the Minnesota Dems’ State Party platform:
Civilian Safety (received 53.54% of the vote; was adopted by 18 Organizing Units and 8 Congressional Districts)
The halt of human atrocities and a prioritization of civilian safety for the Palestinian and Israeli people.
Respect for Rights (received 43.79% of the vote; was adopted by 16 Organizing Units and 5 Congressional Districts)
Support the end of financial and military aid to Israel until it complies with international law and respects the rights of the Palestinian people.
Palestinian Rights (received 50.39% of the vote; was adopted by 11 Organizing Units and 5 Congressional Districts)
Support the human rights of Palestinians and support recognition of the Palestinian state.
Release Unjustly Held Political Prisoners (received 43.55% of the vote; was adopted by 10 Organizing Units and 7 Congressional Districts)
Supports Israel immediately releasing any unjustly held political prisoners.
Fund UNRWA (received 42.6% of the vote; was adopted by 10 Organizing Units and 6 Congressional Districts)
Supports funding of UNRWA (The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East is a UN agency that supports the relief and human development of Palestinian refugees.)
State Board of Investment - Human Rights (received 51.04% of the vote; was adopted by 13 Organizing Unites and 5 Congressional Districts)
Supports the Minnesota State Board of Investment divest from any country or corporation which violates international or US laws prohibiting human rights violations, including ethnic cleansing, illegal land appropriation, terror and violence.
