Five State Democratic Parties have passed CEASEFIRE resolutions:
The Texas Democratic Party unanimously passed their resolution on December 2nd, 2023, calling for a humanitarian ceasefire and release of the hostages.
Later the same day, the Democratic Party of Hawaii called on their Congressional representatives to support the Ceasefire Now Resolution and asked for the Biden Administration to call for a ceasefire, as well.
On January 18, 2024, the Democratic Party of New Mexico called for “a lasting negotiated ceasefire working towards a two-state solution”.
The Arizona Democratic Party passed a resolution that “recognized the equal value of Israeli and Palestinian lives” and called for the “establishment of a Palestinian state” on January 27, 2024.
The Washington State Democratic Party overwhelmingly passed (the vote was 75-54) a resolution that called for a ceasefire and for the reinstatement of funding for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) on January 28, 2024.
